Description
Inspired by crumpled paper found in a shipping box, Austrian born artist, Barbara Palatin-Doyle, creates a beautiful artisan made table lamp using materials found in the 17th and 18 centuries. Palatin-Doyle called upon renowned porcelain manufacturer Augarten to make the lamps body from white bisque porcelain. Palatin-Doyle makes each lamp shade herself from hand-laid Japanese Hosho Paper which matches white of the porcelain and is found to be incredible durable. The result being a contemporary design that marries both art and function. The Charta Alba I features a white bisque porcelain finial and gilt brass base.
